Following in the footsteps of his siblings, Ryan had to try his hand at ice skating yesterday. Never mind that he's just 18 months old, or that Therese's skates were twice as big as his feet...

 he had to give it a shot anyway.

And he had a blast! :)

Blogger has been acting strangely...

...Ok, so Blogger has been doing some funny things to me over the last couple of weeks, which is why if you're following this blog/getting notices about it, you probably keep getting notices over and over that things have been edited. I'll try post words or pics, and then they won't publish the way they were supposed to, or half will be missing or messed up, etc., so I have to edit the post after I've already published it. It's been frustrating, and I apologize if you keep getting notifications for things being changed! Grrr!

Anyway, the rain here has finally stopped and San Antonio has never been so beautiful in the spring! Temps have been cooler than normal and all the rain has made everything lush and green. I can't believe it! :) It's probably a good thing it's not like this normally or I might just want to stay. :P

Eastertide 2010

We had a quiet, very low-key Easter here in our hotel... but were blessed to attend the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower here in San Antonio.  Though in a run-down area (and in need of much inside work itself) the shrine is still very beautiful - and the choir was amazing!  What a joyous morning!  He is risen!!!!

Divine Mercy...

Timmy made this picture recently - we didn't even know what he was going to write on it.  Therese helped by coloring in the picture of Jesus; Timmy cut it out, pasted it, and did the glitter glue.  He's made several pictures like this, with the rays coming out from Jesus' Heart... when asked about them, he simply said, "That's Jesus, spreadin' out His Love." 

O Blood and Water, which gushed from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, we trust in You!
